The child in its mother’s womb.
"Janeen" (fetus) is the child while it is still in its mother’s womb, before it is delivered. It results from the mixing of the male and female fluids in the female's uterus. It passes through different stages. First, it is a "nutfah", or a mixed drop of semen and vaginal fluid; then, an "‘alaqah", or a clinging clot of coagulated blood; then, a "mudghah", or a lump resembling a bite of chewed flesh. When it reaches four months, the angel comes and blows life into it and then writes its lifespan, sustenance, and whether it will be happy or miserable.
"Janeen": the baby inside the womb. Original meaning: taking cover, hiding.
The fetus during pregnancy.
