الظاهر
هو اسمُ فاعل من (الظهور)، وهو اسمٌ ذاتي من أسماء الربِّ تبارك...
Concealing someone else's defect and not revealing it to people.
"Satr" (concealment) means concealing something bad, be it tangible or intangible. For example, concealing a fault, a sin, or an immoral action of a Muslim if that Muslim is a good, honorable person who is not known for evil, harm, and corruption or for inviting others to such things. So one should not expose his misdeed to the authorities, the public, or the elite.
"Satr": covering, hiding, concealing. Opposite: "izh-hār" (revealing). Other meanings: keeping secret, screening.
To conceal and hide something, whether regarding oneself or others.
