One who joins the congregational prayer from the beginning but then misses one or more "rak‘ah" (unit of prayer).
The "lāhiq" (defaulter) is the person who joins a congregational prayer from its beginning but then misses one or more "rak‘ahs" in the middle or end of such prayer. This may take place for a valid excuse, such as inattention, sleeping, or crowdedness, or without an excuse, such as bowing or prostrating before the imam.
"Lāhiq": the one reaching and achieving something. It is derived from "lahāq", which means achieving, reaching, catching up.
The one who joins a congregational prayer after missing some parts.
