نواقض الوضوء
‘Ā'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever vomits, has nosebleed, regurgitates, or releases Madhy (pre-ejaculatory fluid) should go perform ablution and then resume his prayer from where he had stopped, on condition that he does not speak in the process."  
عن عائشة -رضي الله عنها- أن رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قال: «من أصَابه قَيْءٌ أو رُعَاف أو قَلَسٌ أو مَذْي، فَلْيَنْصَرِف، فليتوضأ ثم لِيَبْنِ على صلاته، وهو في ذلك لا يتكلم».

شرح الحديث :


Explanation of the Hadīth: Anyone experiences any of these things that are mentioned in the Hadīth during praying, then let him go and perform ablution. He should leave the prayer because his ablution is nullified, then make ablution again. When he returns back to his prayer, he should resume it from where he has stopped, and it is not necessary to start from the beginning. When leaving to make ablution and coming back to resume the prayer, he must not speak, and this is a condition for resuming his prayer from where he left off. Failing to fulfill this condition, however, invalidates the prayer, and he must repeat it from the beginning. Scholars classified this Hadīth as weak based on two facts: First: Its chain of narration is classified as weak by a group of scholars such as Ash-Shāfi‘i, Ahmad, Ad-Dāraqutni, and others. Also, Al-Albāni, a contemporary scholar, classified it as weak. Second: The text of the Hadīth lists things that have been proved to be nullifiers of ablution, then makes resuming the prayer from where one left off permissible. There is no doubt that this contradicts the fundamentals of Shariah. This is supported by the authentic Hadīth reported by Talq ibn Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If one of you passes wind while praying, let him go and make ablution and repeat the prayer" [Abu Dawūd and others]. This Hadīth is a clear text regarding this issue. In other words, if ablution of the one praying is nullified by something coming out of the genitals or anus, such as passing wind, farting, releasing pre-ejaculatory fluid, or the like, it is necessary for him to leave the prayer and repeat it after making ablution.
